What’s been happening:

I did not retire "from." I retired "to." I am currently pursuing a dual Master of Divinity/Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Campbell University. Since much of my career experience has been with younger state inmates, my goal is to develop a therapeutic program for at-risk teens that will involve my other area of interest - animals. Animal-assisted therapy is a very promising, effective, actively growing field which benefits both the participants and the animals. I firmly believe that we are put on this earth to serve others with the talents and expertise that we have developed over the years. I also believe that we should never stop learning and growing.
